Today has been busy. Put away the peanut brittle I made yesterday - this batch turned out edible - I cut up the fudge and tucked it away. Also managed to make caramel pretzels and oatmeal raisin cookies this morning. The kitchen is now clean and the rest of the day is mine for writing.
Oh, and it's SNOWING!!! I've been waiting for this day. I love snow. Hate driving in it, but love watching it fall from the sky. There's something so wondrous and miraculous about snow. The intricacies of each tiny flake, the startling cold of it as it falls onto your cheeks, the brilliance of it once it blankets the ground and the sun strikes it. And don't forget the way it magically transforms everything common and turns it into a fantasy world of pristine white.
Later this week I'll share with you one of my favorite memories connected with snow. But for now, I'd love to hear from you. Do you like snow? Have you ever seen snow? Would you prefer to never see it again?

I like your blog. I like the penguins, too, and they seem appropriate for the coming winter weather. I hope to read more of your posts in the future and hear about your writing. And I'm not crazy about snow, actually.
Welcome, welcome. My enduring memory of snow is of a December visit to Green Bay, Wisconsin. Minus 25 degrees and a blanket of brilliance!
We haven't had much snow yet this year, but I know it will be coming. I remember loving it as a kid and watching the big, fluffy flakes falling outside the window. I think I'll stay inside now when it comes falling down. Looking forward to reading some of your writing in coming posts.
Aha! The delightful "Sissy Baby" from AW! Yes, I love snow, but this is northeastern California snow, high desert dry, like powder. In the east slope of the southern Cascades, we're lucky to get 14 inches of precip. Currently no snow under 6500 feet. The only dislike I have for it is removing it from the roof - other than that, it's heavenly.
